Katerina Nikolaidou is an experienced legal professional with an established record in the legal service industry in Greece and abroad on issues relating to EU Public Procurement of Innovation, State Aid, and EU Law. A strong legal professional with LL.M. focused on EU Public Procurement Law and EU State Aid Law from University of Heidelberg and King's College University. Katerina's drive is for finding solutions to complex legal issues. Currently, she is a European Commission appointed Expert on Public Procurement of Innovation  to support the EAFIP (European Assistance For Innovation Procurement) Initiative.     

She is also an official Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), an international organisation promoting good practices in the procurement and supply chain industry. 

As a member of the start-up company Nudge Unit Greece Katerina's main interest is to help organizations create processes that enable the adoption make it easy of new ideas.

Katerina is able to talk you through each step of your case, ensuring only the highest quality service. Katerina Kanellia holds a Master in Intellectual Property Law from the Tongji University in Shanghai. As an assistant associate  in Unitalen, which is a leading Chinese Intellectual Property Legal Service Provider, was responsible for the preparation and filing of applications of Chinese and international trademarks.  As a CEO of a startup company, Heronas she worked with innovators to launch their ideas to the world. As an active member of the European Law Students’ Association, she participated in committees to the United Nations in New York and Geneva. She believes that innovation and education are the most powerful weapons which you can use to improve the world.

Georgios Dimitropoulos is an Associate Professor of Law at HBKU Law. He is also a Research Associate at the University College London Centre for Law, Economics and Society (UCL CLES), and the University College London Centre for Blockchain Technologies (UCL CBT).

Georgios studied law at the University of Athens, and holds an LL.M. from Yale Law School, as well as an LL.M. and a Ph.D. summa cum laude from the University of Heidelberg. Before joining HBKU Law he was a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg and a Hauser Research Scholar at New York University (NYU) School of Law. He completed an internship at the European Commission’s Directorate General Enterprise and Industry, whereas during his Ph.D. studies he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for German and European Administrative Law of the University of Heidelberg. He has also been admitted as Barrister and Solicitor at the Athens Bar Association.

Georgios’ research seeks to expand the boundaries of international economic law and dispute settlement, both thematically and methodologically. He uses mixed method approaches to unpack the complex relationship between international and domestic law. His work has appeared in journals such as the Northwestern Journal of International Law & Business, the Journal of International Dispute Settlement, the Journal of World Investment & Trade, the Law & Practice of International Courts & Tribunals, the Journal of Law & Policy, and the Maastricht Journal of European & Comparative Law. His latest co-edited book Regulating Blockchain: Techno-Social and Legal Challenges has been published by Oxford University Press in 2019.
